because hognose snakes sense pray via smell and sight, so a frozen pinky wont give of as much sent as a 25-28c pinky. i strongly advise that you defrost your pinkies for 2-4 hours then heat them up further with a hiar dryer or in a sandwich bag in slightly warm water
I'm really surprised he ate them, too. I have enough trouble getting my male hoggy to eat properly defrosted food. As sexychef says, you can defrost the pinkies in a bag in some warm water, and there shouldn't be an odour, but to be honest, this sort of thing is part of snake-keeping territory and the snake's health comes first, so a bit of a smell is better than an ill hoggy!
