Just wondering if anyone can advise me on this -
the other night, I noticed that Bob was rubbing his open mouth against one of his hides, and he seemed to have something stuck in his mouth which he couldn't get rid of.
I picked him up to investigate, and he had something that looked like a fuzzy's tail sticking out of one side of his mouth, along with a lot of mucus and some bits of bedding which had got stuck to it. I cleared it all out for him and he seemed fine after that, but now I'm not sure if I should treat this as a regurge? It definitely looked like a bit of fuzzy tail, and I had fed him a couple of days before, but nothing else came up and he seems quiter perky now!
What do people think??  |

If you were unsure, I'd treat as a regurge.
The substrate in it's mouth will be from moving his head about with his mouth open trying to expel whatever it was as well.

| Yes, that was what I thought - he has been a bit of a reluctant feeder and his digestion seems quite slow compared to my other hoggy. Do you know if there are any food supplements you can get to help them restore their stomach acid after a regurge? Thanks :) |

The only thing that some people use is reptoboost, but it's seems to be used more for non-feeders.
I'd just leave him without foods for 10-14 days to let his gut build back up, then try him on a nice small pinky or roll it gently between yhour fingers to sausage it out first as well. |

| you could use reptoboost if you want but as Kehhlyr has mentioned its not really necessary at this stage. |
