There seems to be absolutely nothing wrong with my snake, except that he hasn't eaten for two and a half weeks. I switched him from in-cage feeding to out-of-cage feeding, but he did fine first time and hasn't since.
Should I get him checked? Is this a normal thing?
As I said, he doesn't appear to be thin or behaving strangely or physically impaired. |

Could just simply deciding to be a fussy thing. Try feeding back in it's home next time and see if that makes any odds. |

I was told that because he's on aspen now, I shouldn't feed him in there because if he eats it it could harm him.
He had smushed some pinkie blood onto the old kitchen paper bedding and then eaten a small bit of it. I'd worry about this happening with the aspen. I also wonder if the eaten paper could have any influence on his loss of appetite? |

you can put something in the home so he wont get it onto the aspen, a sheet of kitchen paper, even part of a paper plate. One of the other things could be it is coming upto a shed? and may not fancy eating during this time. |

I've been expecting his eyes to turn blue for about two months! I've had him since about April and he hasn't shed yet. He has a damp hide available if he wants to use it.
The problem was the mouse popped as he dragged it back into his hide. |

What I sometimes do if one of my boys is being fussy, and will only eat in his home, is to put a piece of kitchen roll down and then put the hide down on top of that. You can put the pinkie in the hide then and he shouldn't drag it out onto the aspen. |

Great, thanks!
He'll be on a peat/sand mix eventually, once I've decorated his display enclosure, so it'll probably be easier to feed him in there. |
