This is a first for me as my tri female has laid 1 egg with others in her but nothing for a few hrs now, just hope she settles again and finishes naturally!

Fingers crossed for you!

They usually say up to 24 hours is the average you should expect for a completed clutch.

Keep us informed x

She's just laid no 6 and I've got Crufts at 7 am tomorrow setting up the Schipperke Booth for the 4 days in Discover Dogs so just what I didn't need tonight typical animals lol. She's taken 2 days to get going properly so glad I took vets advice and left her to see what happend with a return trip on Friday if no more.

My fingers are crossed for her (and you)

Crufts should be good. Apparently they've got a skeleton of a dog that was recovered from the ship wreck of Henry the 8th's ship the Marie Rose. It is thought to have been the ship's mascot.

Bet that would be interesting to see.

Yes there is a skeleton of a dog and lots of other stuff on show there from the wreck, will take some photo's tomorrow for you, even got folk in period costumes too.

My tri finished on 11 eggs excellent number for the species as 12 they say is max so for a first timer she's done herself proud and all good too so here's hoping incubation goes well.

Well what a performance she made of it all ended up getting syringe of meds from vet to induce for the last 2! Final count is 15! So much for the 12 max advised by fellow breeders and online she obviously hasn't grasped the meaning of maximum or the power of literacy lol.

I took photo's of the skeleton etc but haven't caught up enough yet to upload them, cat escaped out the cage in car at the Vets and has been missing since, he'd had a fight so needed treatment for a slash across his face, then chicken was eggbound, someone hadn't been eating her layers pellets silly girl.

Sounds like you are having a bust time. Animals eh?

15 is a very good number. She must be a super mum!

Well thought I'd give you an update on my nightmare season, year actually. I had 19 eggs in the end from first Tri coloured clutch and 3 clutches of other hognose eggs cooking nicely in the incubator when we had a 5 hr power cut ------------ all eggs lost despite my best efforts with the heat packs and towels etc.

Tri has since laid a more normal clutch of 6 eggs 4 of which are fertile so fingers crossed its too late for snow to cuase a power cut eh lol? Also have 9 eggs from my red phase male to normal female going well too.
