Thanks, it was a good shed- apart from the tail bit got stuck. Had to get it off for him otherwise he could've been tip less in a few months

Good news with the shed, did you use a damp hide or did he do it without?

Wilbur was very grumpy for a week too.

I didn't use a damp hide, just sprayed the tank to increase humidity. My try one next time though because the tail bit was quite difficult to get off, even with my nails

Hog-T has a sphagum coffee lid hide, but alas no shed yet. Did Wilbur blue and clear in stages? Hog-T got a blue belly, then that cleared, and then his litle eyes went blue...

Not really, He didn't dull hardly at all. I probably wouldn't have noticed he was going into shed if his eyes hadn't gone.

It must be a new thing- I've not had a problem shed for about a year and half then I get two in 24 hours. Evra shed this morning and it was a right mess. Her entire bottom half was a patching and flaky. Had to bathe her and towel it off. Weird!

Not too long, but like I said I didn't notice until his eyes went grey. Probably about a week after I first noticed his eyes.
I thought it seemed to take longer than the corns do though.

Hoggies are weird, because when I put the shed dates in my book he seems to have gone ages between sheds too. His previous shed was the 25th of May and this one was the 24th of October. Does that seem like a long time to you?

Guess here;

Since Hoggies don't grow as big as corns or royals or whatnot, their growth rate is slower which means less shedding.
I think this could also be a part of their problem feeding.
