Was all looking forward to getting my hoggie hatchie yesterday, phoned rep shop only to be told all the hoggie hatchies are taking their sweet time to get feeding, so fingers crossed for next weekend :) |

If they weren't ready yesterday due to poor feeding, then they certainly wont be ready next week either. No decent breeder or rep shop should sell anything until it's had at least 4 or 5 consecutive feeds with no problems. |

Agree with Kehhlyr, and really cant see Ryan let go of any snake hatchie with sporadic feeding habits |

It will definitely be worth the wait. As said above though, you could have a few more weeks to wait yet. Mine was hatched in May but had only recently become available due to her not feeding to begin with. The breeder pointed it all out on the records and she's had the last 5 feeds with no issue. |

I spoke to Ryan last weekend and they've all had 5 feeds and he said that if they feed with no problems the next feed then he'd be happy to sell them, if not it will be a bit longer. Sorry should've said that. |

Last weekend WAS the 24th which was when he told you that they were finicky feeders. So on the weekend did he tell you they were finicky feeders, or did he tell you they had had 5 consecutive feeds???
I suggest getting a 2nd opinion really, why don't you ask Ruby_rose or hazel and stop wasting time. |

He told me they'd only had 5 feeds, I just assumed they were fussy feeders, I don't need a 2nd opinion and am not wasting time and also keep your cheeky comments to yourself!

It's kicking off, Marjorie! Hope you get it sorted soon, anyway - definitely make sure they have been feeding before you hand over any money. It can be really, really difficult to get them to feed when they're little if they're not already established, and you don't need that hassle when it's your first snake. |

I was kicking of at that Kehhlyr and no one else!!!!
Thanks and I know to make sure it has been feeding before I buy and I know they can be really difficult to get them to feed when they are not already established, not my first snake and I am prepared for the non feeding which can happen, I think the key is to not panick and stress and I know to leave alone for a full week before even attempting a feed or handle, think I've got it all covered. |
