Well just as I'm sorting the hogs out for their brumation I'm weighing the girls to make sure my large female has recovered enough from her egg laying session - pick my small adult female up and think HMMMMMM someones a bit lumpy here --------- sure enough she's gravid!

Why do they do it when I'm due to go away for the holidays to visit my family? My big girl laid a 2nd clutch whilst I was away for Rodbaston came home to a viv with 18 dried out eggs under her hide, now my other girl is like yeah mum I'm gonna drop these babies while you're not here!

Have set up a laying box for her in the vain hope that she'll drop them before I leave on Tuesday - yeah fat chance lol, have switched the incubator back on to calibrate before she lays. Also got to train up my snake sitter so he's able to cope if she lays whilst I'm away, poor boy will got white I'm sure lol.

Sounds like a bit of a good news/bad news scenario. Hope she lays before you go.
Bless her

I am hoping that as she's just coming into shed she'll hold off so will feed her again on tuesday just before I leave and have snake sitter take it out 2 days later if she's not eaten due to being too far in blue.

I think its a consipiracy between them all.

Congratulations!!
Hope she lays before you leave although I'm sure you'll train the snake sitter well.

Make sure you post pics of all the hatchlings when they arrive

Where are you again Mandie?

I'd volunteer, but get the feeling you're no where near Yorkshire

NO clutch as yet thankfully, think she's going to hold off for a while coz I've been away for 10 days so not been here to feed her for 2 wks - the snake sitter isn't allowed to feed just water and clean lol.

I'm in South Derbyshire so not really that close to Yorkshire lol
