I've now had my first hognose for over a week, she has shed and consumed 2 pinkies in one sitting. I was just wondering if its normal for hognose snakes to hide right at the bottom under 2 inch of bedding most of the time. Although there are 2 hides. Thanks

Sounds normal to me.
My 2 are always under the substrate somewhere, I find it easier to lift their tubs up and look at the bottom to find out where they are in there.

And welcome to the forum.

Hoggies are great, you'll soon get used to their quirks. I've only been a hoggie owner for a few months but still they surprise me.

Yes, they love burrowing and if they have the chance to get themselves underneath something, they will do! My hoggy definitely prefers being under his substrate to being in his hides.

No probs about the double posting.
I just tend to close one so that responses are all on one thread, makes it easier to read and follow then as well.
