I'm having quite an unusual experience with my hoggy Baldrick at the moment - when I get him out to handle him, he sometimes deposits sperm on my hand/sleeve. I thought it was poo at first, but it comes out of his hemipenes so I'm assuming it's sperm! He is just over 2 years old and he's kept in the same room as my female corn snake (separate vivs). Could he be aware that she's there and he's responding to that, or do male snakes just, erm, vent themselves like this occasionally?? I'm not worried but would be curious to know if anyone else has seen this behaviour in their hoggy.
