hiya I have the same thing, frank last shed on the 25/26 June,this morn just took him out to feed and he was hissin at it, (which he never normally does) took him out after 10 mins n checked him over which is when I found he is goin into blue again. He has put on 6g since he last shed, but was worried this morn cos had him mid april and he didnt first shed with me until june and now again. since i had him hes put on 21g (was 17 when got him, hes now 38) |

I think it's fairly normal for them to shed frequently when they're little. He's grown quite fast, as you say, and a 6g gain is substantial when he's only 38g in total. I wouldn't worry about it - weight gain is a good thing in male hoggies because they so often have the opposite problem when they're refusing to eat! |

I agree with Louise. If he has grown that much then shedding more frequently isn't unusual.

My male hoggy has just come out of a 3 month hunger strike, so I can sympathise! I think they just like to keep us on our toes. |
