Well I'd got it all worked out, go to see my girls tomorrow, back next wk when hatchlings are due!

Hognose babies had other ideas, first 1's out with another 2 heads showing sooo looks like I'm taking hatchlings on holiday with me, thank goodness my girls have snakes too.

Here's some more for you, now got 4 out with 5 to go - have to pack them into the car as I'm off to visit my girls for a wk, polybox sorted with incubator and hatchling rack waiting the other end - thank goodness my kids share the same love of reptiles eh lol?

Female shedding - only hatched last night

Males post shed, hatched this morning

Hi Mandie

I am new to this forum and am looking to buy a Hognose hatchling this year. Are you in the UK and will you be selling any of your hatchlings?

Can you let me know please.

They look gorgeous

Welcome to the forum Crazeemaz to answer your questions Yes to both and I will be selling some of my adults too. Ended up with 4 males and 5 females so a 100% hatch rate which certainly makes up for the devastating loss of my other clutches earlier with the power cut.

Many thanks

4 out of 9 fed on 29th so here's hoping for 8 out of 8 feeding today!

One of my girls has kept a tiny male who was only 3 gms, she took a shine to him so let her keep him and see how he goes, pinkie body parts are the order of the day as a full pinkie is too big, will have to nab her photo's for you to see titch lol.

Sorry to jump your thread but what weight are your hatchlings?
I have had one that hatched at a tiny 4g's - what on earth do you get them to eat at that size?
Cheers
James

They average 7 gms but as I said on the previous post the very tiny guy at 3gms is being offered body parts or half a pink, he's refused both as yet, not that thats a problem as there's still only 4 who've fed so far.

All bar one are now feeding so I'm happy to start letting the consistant feeders go, looks like most are females too great.

My two that hatched out quite light readily took mouse drumsticks and are now onto unscented pinks and already at a whopping 10 g's!

Next batch to hatch soon - it's interesting to note how differently the albino eggs candle to the normal ones too.
