Hi folks.. fed Horace for second time tonight, as when I fed him previously he wolfed it down and then seemed to be hunting round his viv for about half an hour afterward, so moved him up to a very small fluff (girl at the shop said - but I just think its a large pinkie)!

He will not seem to take them head or tail on like our corn does, he just grabs them in the middle and keeps on chomping until he manages to get his jaws around it... I thought he was going to pop his jaw at one point, but he did not seem phased by it.

When I put him back in his viv however, he only did about 5 circuits (about 5 / 6 mins or so) and then went into his hide to digest... popped his head out for a little while earlier, but no acrobatics noticed today - not like last time.... climbing wood, wire and allsorts the following day after 1st feed! Obviously seems to be about the right size feed this time - despite my worrying about it being too big

I don't have a hoggie but my male BCC did this the first time I fed him. Made me laugh

He's about 12/13" long at the mo... He's really funny, and very laid back for a hoggy apparently... no hissing etc.

He came out tonight and did about 15 minutes doing circuits around the viv, but not quite as quick or acrobatic as usual... obviously his larger meal is taking a little longer to digest... can't wait till tomorrow so I can have him out again - love to feel his little hard nose pushing against my arm when he tries to lift it to 'burrow' under... gives me the giggles

Following looking at El's post on TCS re pinkie/fluff size, it would appear that I was right in thinking what I fed on Satureday was a large pinkie... it certainly only seemed to have the slightest downy like hairs on it.
