im getting my hognose next week,he or she will be 6 months old. ive ordered pinkies for it. will that be the right size for my newcomer.

it should be ok on pinkies but without knowing wieght and lenght of the hoggie its hard to say. at 6months mine was still on pinkies maybe going on to double pinkies

I agreee with Sexychef- pinkies are a good choice because even if they are small you can feed multiple of them until your next order.

Better to buy a little small and feed more than buy too big and have nothing to feed your snake.

Mine has some sort of weird phobia about fuzzies/rat pups, even though he's 18 months old. He refuses to touch them but is perfectly happy to eat multiple pinkies instead. So it's difficult to say but just play it by ear once you've got your hoggy home.

Wilbur is the same- if he thinks his dinner is a bit large he usually can't be bothered to eat it. Pure laziness I'm sure
