The female hoggie is nearly three and the male is an 07. I have only had them for a few weeks, but I am already hooked on them.
I have two gorgeous jungle carpet pythons for breeding next year hopefully, I have 1 mexican black king and three corns.
Thanks for the welcome.

Nice collection you have there. We'll have to compare bite marks from our mexi-blacks
Hoggies are great snakes so I think you'll love keeping them. I like the way they wiggle |

Thanks Kazarella, I call the mexi black Riddick due to the pitch black and the attitude problem, I have had it since it was a baby 18 months ago, funny I have never been bitten yet by any of my snakes in the five years or so I have been keeping them, I watch their body language intently,, but I'm sure I've just been lucky,, its only a matter of time. especially when the breeding starts eh.
I do like the hoggies, i must admit they are a refreshing change, they are both of normal colouration, very unsure about hoggie morphs etc at this stage,, the female is het albino.
What do you keep ?

Wow- having a Mexican black for 18 months and never been bit - I bow down to you
I have 12 snakes and 5 amphibians at the moment. (4 corns, 1 rat cross, 1 royal, 1 rainbow boa, 1 hoggy, 2 mexi blacks, 1 cali king and a pueblan milk snake plus 1 horned frog, 2 toads and 2 fire salamanders).
We tried breeding the corns this year without success, but are going to try again next with the mexis and maybe the royal. |

I have 25 hognose on the reptile front with 2 gravid females at present, am hoping to breed my het albino's next time once they're upto size. I got bitten only last week by an adult female hognose whilst cleaning her out - she's that hungry at the min anything will do lol.
Welcome am sure the hognose addiction will grow in no time, I used to have corns, royals, Uro's, beardeds, desert horned lizards, eyed lizards alsorts but the hognose won me over - might get a couple of royals again only time will tell lol. |
