I voted for 'depends on the snake' but i think i am beginning to tend towards not bothering to feed while in shed |

Only Ruby and Evra don't eat during a shed- all the others are fine with it- especially the super-eating corns |

My corn was amazing. I left it alone for a couple of days and missed the period where it's eyes were clouded. One day, I took him out of his enclosure for feeding, and he rattled his tail a little, which was nothing new, so I suspected nothing. I had no idea he was about to molt, because he'd molted just a few weeks earlier (he's 21 inches). After I fed him a pinkie, which it took unsually long for him to find in his feeding bucket, I placed him back in his tank and left the room.
Half an hour later I come back and see him lying on his piece of driftwood. Right next to him is a 100% perfect molt skin!
But generally I wouldn't feed before a shed. |
