Hope we get a few responses! I only have one hog, he's 4 years old and he has a huge personality. Wouldn't be without him. I also have a corn snake and really want a royal when funding allows...

I recentlyl got a 6 year old hognose and we called him Sylas, he is so pretty and really active, but useless at eating. Glad we have this website I was worried about him but seems to be a common thing with this species. Still getting used to the hissing, doesn't happen very often but it scares the life out of me!

Hello All, I've got a wee hoggie called Astrid. She is 18 weeks old and she is a sweetie. I don't really know much about her as we've only had her out a couple of times but she already seems more active than our cornlol. I've (tried) to post a picture or two.
I have 3 hognoses, 1 male and 2 females. All 100% het albino so one day I will also have albino babies and will be keeping one. Unfortunately all 3 of mine have been fussy feeders and have not gained weight very quickly. So although I was hoping to breed them in 2013 I have now decided to wait at least another year.
The male is currently brumating but the females are not and are still eating sporadically. One female only eats fish scented mice and then only every other time or so.
The other has been eating every time for a few weeks now but then regurged on Monday this week so I will leave her another few days before trying her again.
None of them have ever eaten if I just leave the mouse in with them; even if it is left in their rubs for 24 hours! I have to hold them and put the mouse right infront of their mouths and then they will gently take hold of it and start eating!
I have 26 snakes in total but the 3 hoggies are definitely my favourites
