Not that our environment was stressful! But he'd rather be able to try and gently assist once hog-t is all settled, rather than having to force feed him straight after a stressful bus ride. :)

Hopefully he'll be ok. Bet he's gutted though really- when you said he was going on holiday I bet he pictured Blackpool rather than the rep shop

Lol,he went on a little bus ride with a hot water bottle and everything, he was well up for it! when he got there he was being such a good little boy letting the rep man examine him. Now he's in a big viv with all the hatchling milks (all in seperate cricket tubs) it's like a little meet and greet for him! The shop is lovely and clean and everyone looks very well cared for, there's even a big hognose to teach hog-t the ropes. Can you tell i'm trying to convince myself here? The guy is a genuine bloke though, only charging us for food, and only then if he has to use alot. Fingers crossed.

Thanks Matty, i'm pleased, even if he did need to be fed with a press, i think that's kinder than having to have a whole prey item force fed. :)

Hogtanian is home with us now :) He is lovely and tubby again, and he has gone blue, hopefully once he's shed all of his skin off he'll start eating again withough the press, although i went to the shop and watched them press feed him today when i picked him up and he honestly didn't look that phased at all, no hissing or cobra-ing, and once he was fed he just went back into his little hide and curled up, unlike the milks which really looked like it could hurt them the way they were thrashing around and spraying musk all over the place. Any way he's fed up enough to give us 2 weeks to try and get him feeding naturally and if that fails he will be going back to the pet shop for another holiday, and so the cycle continues untill i have been taught, and practiced press feeding (i had my first look today). The guy is really confident that he will start feeding on his own eventually as he has no physical issues, he's just a lazy little thing. The pet shop has been brilliant though, they are doing all of this without even charging me a penny not even for food, so i'm super super greatful :) Just thought i'd give you all a little update.

Me too- sounds like you've got a good one there.

Hope he feeds after his shed, although promising him another holiday won't work. He might not eat on purpose, thinking that it will be Scarborough this time
