Hey all,

Finally gotten over CaRDiaK's death a few months back, my first pet, a non feeding Hognose.

Tracked this little guy down (and a feeding record!) and he had his first feed Saturday! He's never missed now, I feel so happy and glad that it showed I wasn't doing anything wrong with my first, he just wasn't to be.

Anyway, introducing Cthulhu!

Wow, he's lovely. So glad you managed to get another one and the death of your first hoggy didn't put you off the species.
I think Cthulhu is some sort of HP Lovecraft reference, or have I got that completely wrong?? Could also be Pratchettian...

Yes Cthulhu was created by H.P Lovecraft, one of my favourite authors.
He is one of the 'Elder Gods' a humanoid octopus-dragon thing - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cthulhu
The pronunciation is somewhat ambiguous.

Great name!
