Petal is certainly keeping me thinking on the feeding front!
She refused her first feed, took her second in the little tub I brought her home in. Refused her next feed, although I did exactly the same as I did on the successful feed with her.
So,out came the aspen and in came the kitchen roll as I decided to try feeding her in the tub she lives in. Put a pinkie in with her about 11 am yesterday and covered her tub up in case she felt exposed. Checked on her at 4:30 pm and the pinkie was untouched. At this point I decided the little sod wasn't going to feed again so I took the towel off her tub.
Did a few bits round the house and walked past her tub at 5 pm and it was gone!!
I'm sure she's playing with me. Naughty little snake.

They do like to keep you on your toes! But at least she's eating some of her feeds - how often are you offering pinkies to her? Perhaps she's just not all that hungry!

I've been offering between 4 and 5 days. Do you think I should try less often?

That would sound about right for a hatchling, but I'd tend to advise you to go by what your snake does - if she isn't eating at every feed, you could try offering every 5-6 days instead. There's no harm in offering more often, of course, but in purely financial terms it's a waste of pinkies, unless you have another snake who can hoover up the untouched ones for you!

Cheers for that. I might try leaving 6 days between her last feed and the next and see if she takes it. I do have a couple of corns on pinkies, but I'm not sure if they'd eat one thats not warm anymore!

Mine is feeding well on 2 pinkies per feed and I warm them up in a little tub over the kettle as it's boiling for a cuppa, I just sit the small tub over the spout of the kettle, smae thing I do for my corns fluffs, and she's taken every feed so far.

Ask me and I will tell you

Sorry for my late response,I've been away on holiday.
I've been warming her pink in a bag as I do with my other snakes.
I've now got her housed in my bedroom, and she took her pink really quick before I went away. I fed her last night when I got back and she took it no problem again, although she'd gone for longer between feeds due to me going away.
Will see how she does on the next feed and if she's a tinker again, then I'll get in touch with the breeder.
