Posted - 02/06/2010 : 21:26:12 Hi there. Question on genetics. If i put a male 100%het for albino to a female 100% het for albino what offspring could i produce? Genetics is not my strong point. Thanks for any help regards nick

Posted - 07/06/2010 : 05:25:09 You would get a 1 in 4 chance of albinos, so technically 25% of the clutch would be albino. The rest of the babies would be 66% possible het albinos. This means that 2/3 of the normal babies would be het albino, but it is impossible to tell hets from true normals. Another thing to consider is that all of these figures vary greatly...you could get all albinos...you could get no albinos. |
