Just wondering if anyone knew... my hoggy seems to have been doing it a lot recently. I don't even know if it's yawning in the sense that we would understand it, I just mean that thing they do when they open their mouths wide between feeding times.

Yes, I thought it might have something to do with that, but as you say he's doing it more or less at random times, when I'm just handling him and he's chilling in my sleeve!

Not sure why they yawn at random times, but they usually yawn straight after dinner because they are re-aligning their jaws after displacing them to make room for mr.mousey.
