Not much to update really lol He is still a moody little so and so and still refuses to eat! I'm not worried though. I know he was shown to a female before he came to me and was very interested so he may well have other things on his mind

Will try and feed him again this weekend and will remove his aspen so I can leave him with it overnight and see if he will eat that way.

If not I may try a fresh killed mouse the following week and see if that gets him going.

No Luck with my brained mouse last night either!!

Wonder who's gonna get their hoggie eating first

This time of year it is very normal for hoggies particularly males to go of feeding for several weeks/months.
My red male had one meal after hibernation and stopped feeding for 4 months and has just taken 2 fuzzies after several weeks of breeding.
Trust me bare with him, he will eat when he's ready

Ok, so fresh killed fuzzy didn't work last night either!

May have to try the tuna flavour mouse next time.

well one of my hooggies only eats when it is dark or his tub is covered

Well he didn't want his mouse again today. He just strikes at it, not in a feeding way, in a fear way and then 'runs' away from it!!

I have left it in with him. Who knows, by tomorow it might be gone.
