As far as I can tell, all hoggies do it! My personal theory is that they're a bit thick, but I did also wonder if they're doing it because they're trying to envenomate the prey, and they find it easier to stick their fangs into the fleshy bit in the middle? Just my theory - would be interested to hear any alternatives... |
