Just wanted to share this with you, my little man Frank hadnt fed for nearly 3months, realised that 2 weeks before he stopped eating I had changed him to aspen from sand due to probs shedding, came to a solution, moved him back onto sand as that was last resort to try and get him eating, but put him a 'permanent' moist hide in, in the form of a gravy tub with a hole cut in it, half buried in the sand. He is eating like a gannet now! He loves his new hide and pops his head out in the morn when i turn the light on.
Here he is, let me know what u think.

Great idea with the gravy tub.
I love snakey d.i.y - it's saves loads of money on the shop-bought hides. |

Awww that is awesome! He looks lovely :)
Gravy tub is awesome idea, when it's time to make my hoggies home a bit bigger i might try it :D (He's only five months old)

Thank you! I used to put a moist hide in when he was goin into shed before but he never used it, this one he is in all the time now! the gravy tub is fab (even tho it looks awful! lol) it really holds the humidity for him. hopin it does the trick with his awful shedding! |

He's really cute!
I always put a damp hide in when my hoggy is due to shed, but for some reason he isn't too keen on it. I leave it in with him just so that the humidity is there if he needs it but he prefers to bury himself in his bedding.
He has also gone on his annual hunger strike, so I'm trying to get him interested in food, and stopping him from hibernating... |

Update, as of last night he has gone into blue so fingers crossed we have a good shed this time. |
