Posted - 27/03/2009 : 19:23:32 I'm thinking of buying a pinkie pump, both for if Wilbur continues his fast and just in case we get any little corn babies that are reluctant to eat.
Where did you get yours from? Cornish Crispa have them for £30, but I'm sure your's was cheaper. |

Posted - 11/04/2009 : 14:45:52 I've got a good feeling about today. The mice are defrosting on top of his faun and he's out and about on the hunt |

Posted - 09/04/2009 : 00:40:12 that could be a very good shout. heres a long shot. colour of the pinkies/fuzzies, hog-t will turn his snout up at red pinkies but goes straight for the lighter coloured 1s. |

Posted - 08/04/2009 : 15:01:19 No he's on a stat. The only thing that is different is last week he was in blue! Maybe he's the opposite of most snakes, he'll not eat when he's not in shed |

Posted - 30/03/2009 : 16:12:42 I know it's good for Wilbur, but still got to worry now about Evra- she's missed 5 feeds in a row now. Just when you get rid of onbe worry, you always get another |

Posted - 30/03/2009 : 09:46:49 Well I used a combination of tricks- all that I've used before, but not in combination.
I put him in a smaller feeding tub. Just a cricket box, so there was no distractions and he couldn't avoid the food if he tried.
Then I dipped the head of the fuzzie in cod liver oil. Before I dipped the entire mouse in, but I think that put him off because it was slimey. This time he was attracted to the fishy smell with being put of by the texture too much.
Then I placed the tub on a corner of a heat , so the pinkie would warm gently as I noticed that he prefers to eat when he's warm.
Then I turned all the lights off and didn't disturb him for a while.
Seems to be a good combo, but then I don't know if he was just really hungry this week |
