Here's Mia in blue.

We've had nearly 2 months and she hadn't shed yet, and she'd grown a lot, I was beginning to worry that she hadn't shed ... but literally as i posted it in the health section a few days ago, she went into blue!

Go away!

Thought i'd see if she wanted some food ... she wasn't pleased.

She was going to go into her new home today but we thought we'd wait til next weekend now when she's finished shedding.

Here she was last week :)

peeekabooo!

hellooo ... c-can you see me?

Just before dindins :)

Don't worry, I have loads

I need one of her in daylight as her colours a lot more vibrant now (was taken by normal room ceiling light last night) but you can't really see them on the pics I have. Her orange blotchy bits have a deep reddy orange border now and some are darker and she's a deeper yellow in places.

Awww Mia shed, all perfect!

She's bright now and a lot less grumpy! :D

We come in and I checked on she was just starting to shed, had wrinkled skin round her head, so I let her be and a few mins later it was all off.

Got lots of pickies! She can go into her new home later tonight

No :(

We were going to take him for a PM but we just couldn't bring ourselves to do it. I know we should have in case it happens again and we could have passed on the knowledge to other owners - but he was so contorted when we found him, we just couldn't bare the thought of him being opened up.
Regret it now obviously and I feel we owed it to the little guy to find out what killed him.

Either way it was very nasty and he died pretty quickly. We were about to take him to the vet, got in from work and he'd died. I think if he hadn't have gone into blue he'd have been able to survive long enough to get some treatment - or at least known what it was and been able to put him out of pain.

Urrrrrgh. Anyway, as much as I deeply miss the little fella I am glad we have our two mad little hoggies now. They are the total opposite of Toki with very determined attitudes and I wouldn't swap them for anything =)

Did you ever find out what was wrong with toki?
Toki Posted - 10/10/2011 : 11:12:07
Awwww I know, I can't wait for new shiney snake! Think some of the yellow is going to come through on her soon. Will put a pic up here when she's shed

Hahahaha aww poor Poppy. They do have an attitude, don't they? .

Mia hasn't hissed yet (in blue) I thought she'd be bad. She didn't want to be fed yesterday though, she went a bit nuts.

I'm waiting for Freddie's first shed with us now ... I imagine he's going to be a mini demon. He hissed at me the other day for looking at him!

As much as I want them to shed and get big and healthy, I'm having a mini panic attack and keep checking on them. Last time I saw a hog in shed it was Toki when he was sick and he couldn't handle that and being ill, and he died whilst in blue. I keep checking on her every three seconds.
I know she'll be OK ... but I can't help it. I feel a bit stupid.

Poppy is in blue and hissed at me for the first time when checked on her this morning. Grumpy little devil!!

Thanks

She's so cute - she does some quirky things as she's getting bigger.
