Hopefully you are not allergic to the venom, so it won't be as bad. wish you luck

That's one of the things that made me decide to document a bite.
I shall be doing a full documentation similar to that, from before bite during and through the following days (weeks??) afterwards for this forum and the mothership.
Be nice to have something like that of our own to be able to use.

sounds like there less likely to bite than the old fav cornsnake. i've seen someone documenting a hognose bite. not a wise move. http://www.herpnet.net/bite/

No, I didn't get any adverse reactions - he was only a baby at the time and his mouth was way too small to fit my big sausagey finger in it! He didn't envenomate me and he let go after a second.
I did get a bit of a rash on my finger after my corn snake bit me once, which I've been told is because of the fact that their saliva is so acidic.

With hoggies, due to the placement of their fangs and their small mouths, they'd have to literally chew on you to be able to envenomate.
I've had a little nip, but nothing large.....Yet.

I have been having a good think about letting mine give a proper decent tag when they're a bit older and documenting everything from the bite all the way through any reactions I get.

Thanks for the reply, did your finger swell up. bites that i've seen on the net seem to swell up.

My hoggy once grabbed the end of my finger by mistake when he was aiming at a fuzzy. I'm not sure if it really counts as a bite, as he let go straight away and it was more down to clumsiness than anything else!
