Posted - 10/01/2011 : 20:14:22 Hey ya, Just wondering, my little guy is about 6 months old now, born in July (we were told), and we've finally got him to eat. He's been eating for about a month now regularly. But he only eats one pinkie every 7 days, is this too little? We tried feeding him after 5 but he was having none of it, but ate it on the 7th. Everywhere I look most people say they should be eating one every 3 - 4 days. His temps are fine in his viv, and he's very active and curious. Shall i still try and build him up to one every few days, or try two on the 7th day maybe or is he ok for now?
I was just worried he should be eating more? He's 6 months old and 12 inches long so far. Not sure on weight at the mo, our scales have broke! |

He also has the tiniest bulge when he's eaten. In fact, last two times I don't really thing he had one, it's why I thought maybe he needs more.

Posted - 10/01/2011 : 21:10:20 Keep him on the 7 days. There's nothing wrong with that. The recommended is every 5-7 days.
As for going up to double pinkies, I'd wait until he's settled happily with single prey items and when his bulge is barely visible before moving up. |
