Posted - 17/11/2008 : 15:22:22 what size mice do you feed your hoggies and how big are they?
...reason for asking is that our hoggie is only 10g (didnt eat for just under 2months) between 3-4months old and always hunting for food now and seems to digest his pinkies so quickly. |

Posted - 15/02/2009 : 10:16:30 Hopefully now he's got the hang of it he will keep going well... Horace has only once done a few circuits round any feed, the rest of the time he goes straight up to it, and normally attacks it in the middle, which means I have to spend the next few minutes trying to help him pull the nose part round to get his gob round it, cos once he's latched on, there's no way he's letting go... |

Posted - 22/11/2008 : 12:21:53 Wilbur's not that big, he's just a few months older than you twos hogs
He is a bit mischievous, but his stupidity outweighs all his other traits. He's so daft. He once spent 20 minutes trying to get out of a toilet roll tube when one end was shoved up against the side of the tank. He never thought about turning around and trying the other exit. I let him out in the end. Dafty!

Posted - 21/11/2008 : 22:06:11 Wilbur's a beast, a giant among hog-kind. Hog-T seems to have got the knack of this whole eating lark so hopefully he'll grow big and strong too. Are any of your hogs mischievious? Hog-T seems to think it's really really funny to take all his little cardboard tubes and put them in the water bowl so they soak up all his water, or set them up like a booby trap so that they fall in the water when you open his house, he's a tricksy wee beast. |

Posted - 21/11/2008 : 17:06:01 I think the scales are hard to get accurate when you are dealing with such a small little weight. Wait while our hoggies are a bit heavier and then we'll know that they are registering as something |

Posted - 19/11/2008 : 21:07:55 Erm.... so my conversion attmepts are not so hot.... worked out at around 20 g according to my scales... but in comparison to length of Kazarella's who is shorter and heavier - am beginning to question if the scales are right! |

Posted - 17/11/2008 : 22:25:16 Horace is approx 12" or just over (won't stay still to be measured) and I think he weighs around just over an ounce.... in new money for you youngsters, I think that works out around 30cm and around 40g!!
Will have to check him now when I get him out tomorrow... poor little creature... see what you put him through with all these questions!! (not to mention my half a brain cell trying to convert stats into 'new money')!
