my hognose has arrived. he is only a baby and ive got him in a small platic box. should i use aspen or kitchen towel for bedding as he is only 10 or so inches.

I found a type of shredded paper substrate called Desert Snow in my pet shop and my hoggy seems to like that. It's good for digging and also nice and soft. But I use aspen when that's all I can get and that's fine too.

I use wood chips
its easy for them to dig

i would use kitchen roll until he is bigger and you have found out his feeding habbits. my hoggie only gets a aspen pit and the rest of his tub is kitchen roll
