Posted - 29/11/2012 : 19:50:28 My hoggy hisses sometimes, usually when he is feeling scared or nervous. I've been told a good tip is to only approach him from behind so my movement doesn't scare him. Still makes me jump I am hoping I will get used to it :/ |

Posted - 16/11/2012 : 11:06:25 I've had my male hoggy for 4 years and he still goes through hissy phases every so often. I don't think it really means anything and I've just got used to it now, but it did make me jump the first few times he did it. I think he mostly does it when I startle him, and I always pick him up straight away, which makes him calm down. Hoggies are just funny like that :) |
