Hello i am fairly new on these forums so hello;)

have recently got a very lare aquarium, 6ft x 4ft x 4ft. i appreciate that snakes should have a vivarium, but would this tank be ok for the housing of 2 x hognose snake with the right sort of bedding and equiptment.

any advice welcome.

Thanks

Lee

i would keep a young'un in a small tub like a 9l RUB style box. and you dont need anything that big for an adult hoggie

a aquarium wont do for snakes, then you can only get in ther form above, very threatening to your snakes
At a terrarium the opening is at the front

Having read your advice earlier, i have decided to get just the one snake for now while it is young, i have plenty of things to fill the tank with! yes the lid is a serires of hooks and bolts.

I am overjoyed to hear this news!

Has it got a tight fitting lid? Plus you will need to cover 3 sides of the tank with paper as snakes can get scared if they don't feel confined.

Your tank might actually be a bit large, especially if your hoggys aren't adults. Best pack it out with loads of hiding spaces, branches, rocks etc, to make it feel smaller.
