I've just been to a rep shop and they have got a hatchling hoggy in for...... £135!!!!

I only paid £35 for Wilbur, so that's a £100 mark up between shop prices and show prices. Just shows how much better you are to shop around when buying reps.

I've added a show date section at the bottom of the forum, but not got much info in there yet. Need to do a bit more research on up and coming events.

The Kiddy one is about 7 miles from me..... yeehaaa!!

If I can eventually find my way up to one of the York reptile evenings, you can manage a trip down this way....lol

We'll have to keep each other up to speed as to which show's we're doing and see if we can meet up for a bevvy and chat or similar at some point in the day!!

Thanks for that- I'll have to google the distance to see if me and Lewy can make it.

Found this:

West Midland Reptile Expo (name pending) has been set for August 9th, 2009 at the Kidderminster Glades arena in Kidderminster, Worcestershire.

Wyre Forest Glades
Bromsgrove Street,
Kidderminster,
Worcestershire,
DY10 1PP

There is space for 130 tables all with electrical points, if required. The space we have is a large hall with a massive capacity, so we want this to be as busy as possible. Parking is situated directly outside the arena and disabled access is also available.

If you’re interested in booking a table or have any questions please contact either me (Zak) or chalotte1983 on here or email zakshowell@gmail.com

Move up North Matty- you know you want to

If you find out any more details about the one in the West Midland Bex please let me know. I might venture to that one too.

It might not be advisable though, if we are going to the two Donny ones and then that one too thats at least 3 new pets we'll end up coming home with straight off It's so hard to resist when there's so many gorgeous animals and they are all so cheap.

Im trying to find out about any shows further south, but there doesn't seem to be many.

Thinking bout Doncastor (went to Rodbaston last yr), but there's talk bout one in the west midlands which could be intresting (plus i could drag the OH to the west midland safari park).

A little bit- I don't think the bargains are as great as on lifestock, but it's still a bit cheaper than in shops and online.

A bit off topic, but is equipment cheaper at shows aswell as live stock?
Kazerella Posted - 21/02/2009 : 13:05:29
Which shows are you off to?

We only normally go to the Doncaster ones.

Bought both mine from a show for £25 & £40. The £40 one is meant to be het albino hence slightly more, but the 1 at our 'local' store was just under bout £130. Looking forward to the shows this year. Want an albino female amongst other things.

I probably wouldn't have been so shocked if it had been an adult, but for an hatchling that's beyond ridiculous! (especially when the hatchling didn't look too well either- I had to tell him to go check on his hoggy because it looked poorly to me )

OMG! I saw plenty at shows for £35 last year. Saw some in shops I thought that £85 was steep
