As much as I like that shop, I really wouldn't recommend going there.
I've been there before just to get some crix, then walked away very miffed off with myself for not having the space for one or 4 more reps.
Especially the tange hondo that talks to me everytime I go in. I stopped going there for a short while because he had a stunning 'bino Lavender Burm in, and I knew that if I visited one or 2 more times I would've had it.

lol thankyou, I can drive if need be, so its not the end of the world. Got plenty of time though as will have to get a few bits and bobs and set up its house first so I can wait well I say I can wait...but If I had my way I would have one already! he he but no...im sure my patience will pay off
Thankyou Kehhlyr you are a legend! x

This is the shop I'd recommend: http://www.thereptilarium.com/animals/animalinfo.php?stockid=216&animal=Heterodon%20nasicus
I got my female from there, lovely she is, hints of red in her I shall grab a couple pics later.

They used to have a bit of a bad rep a few years back but since Simon has taken over it's come on in leaps and bounds.
Simon is the chap to talk to if you are thinking about it, cracking bloke.
It's also one of those shops where you hate to go into, once Simon gets to know you a bit and your likes/dislikes he'll happily annoy you with a stunning snake of a particular kind that he KNOWS you'll like by asking if you wanna have a closer look and a hold.

/edit
Just looked on google maps, you're about 100 miles away so I suppose it depends on your opinion as to if it would be worth the drive or not.
I've driven a good couple hundred miles in the past to pick up a snake I've never seen so it wouldn't bother me personally.
I'll ask Simon in a day or 2 if he knows of anyone he would recommend near you, if he does he'll say.
Proper salesman really, he lets the animals do the selling.

Im in torbay, I was considering courier but as you said, I would like to see snakey beforehand but I suppose if they are a reputable breeder then their animals would be in perfect health anyway.
Any recommendations of breeders/shops that have couriers and a good reputation would be great as have had a brief look on internet but their are so many its a bit daunting! lol

What part of Devon?
Don't know off hand of any breeders near there, but there may well be some reputable shops close(ish) to Devon.
A courier is another option.
My local place currently has hoggies in for about 50 quid (I think, can't remember definite price) they have a courier they use that's 25 quid (ish) for mainland UK.
Depending on shops local to you, that might be good or bad.
Might also be easier to find a breeder that might not necessarily be closer, but can courier. Although that means you can't see the snake before purchase.
