Hi everyone, I've been doing my research to decide on a new snake to add to my garter snake and cornsnake and I think I've set my heart on a hoggie. Their little faces are just so hard to resist! Hopefully sometime this year I can add one but they do seem a little difficult to get hold of. Does anyone know of any breeders in Yorkshire? I have my cornsnake baby in a large flat faunarium with a heat mat under. Would this be too big for a hoggie baby? Maybe a small faunarium? I would like to start getting things together for when I find one. Looking forward to coming on here for help, advice and chat.

Not sure about breeders in Yorkshire, but there are usually hoggies at the Doncaster show. There is one coming up in September if you can wait that long - otherwise there are some good reptile shops which might have some.

That may be a bit excessive for a hoggie but with plenty hides to help it feel secure then you should be ok with something like a 9ltr rub

Good luck finding your hoggie x
