New to this forum. Have had hoggies (western, eastern and Southern) for over 30 years with no problem. Friend called three weeks ago about a clutch of four he found at his house. Three were het one was a true albino. All of them doing well excect the albino, not eating. It had food in its belly when caught and has has a poop last week. Still will not eat toads lizards or worms. Dont want to lose this jewel. Any suggestions? It is getting skinny

Have you tried scenting with something fishy like pilchards or cod liver oil?

I used to dip the head of a pinkie in cod liver oil and that usually went down well.

I would just keep it in a dark, small tub until it feels secure and keep trying. If it's wild caught it will be just stressed by suddenly being in captivity.

Maybe try a piece of a frog, like a leg, as the ones you are feeding might be too large for it.

Are you feeding live (I assume so?). Have you tried it on rodents?

Also, just because one of the clutch was albino, it doesnt mean the rest are all Het.
