I thought since I've started (casually) looking into a Hoggie I should transfer my digital self over to this beauteous forum (congrats Kaz!)

I've already hit a hurdle though, where can I obtain a wee Hoggie? My local rep shop doesn't have any and as far as I've noticed they have a good variety of snake stock at all times.. are they becoming more common i.e. next year will I have a better chance of picking up a hatchling successfully? I think I missed the boat on babies this year

That does seem steep for a hoggie, Wilbur was only £35... but it was show prices

go for it hoggies are great and the viv stack seems to be a great success with all our snakey family

I'm too far away from all the baby hoggies in clasifieds I have found, and no one is willing to ship but I might defy the OH and get one if I stumble upon one.. I found one for £100 (+£25 p+p) in northern Scotland but thought it was a bit steep! Especially since I know they were going in my local rep shop for around £50 a few months ago. I hope I stumble soon I've been inspired by Sexychef on thecornsnake to build my own multiviv in a few months time.. maybe I can sneakily coincide this with a hoggie addition.. he'll never notice! Hoggies are too small!!

Welcome to the forum. Hope your search brings you luck soon.

I think Wilbur was originally born in Scotland.

That's why there's none left up there, they shipped them all to the Donny show in June

Hope you find one. Best bet is to ignore your OH and keep looking on the classifieds sites. I know someone is selling them in Sheffield, but guessing that's a bit far for you.

I have and I did find some, but I don't know if they'll 'post' me a Hoggie as they are pretty far away.. I've asked anyway. I also found one on Gumtree but the details are really vague and the ad quite old, but I haven't given up hope!!

Only one hoggie in the whole of Edinburgh.. it makes me sad we need more!
